Gym sesh
Quick summary of my gym sesh:
Treadmill: 4.55km (about 2.8mi), 36:29 (inc walking warm-up/cool down)
Leg press (40kg): 3x8
Chest press (15kg): 3x8
Dumbbell bicep curls (5kg): 3x8
Hip adductor (35kg): 3x8
50 crunches
30-second plank
I LOVE SEEING THOSE KGs GO UP (and the ones on my scale go down)

Last week round-up and weigh-in part 2
Last week was pretty busy, I had my friend Courtney coming to visit (she’s from Chicago but lives in Ireland) so I had to get all my uni work out of the way before she came. We had a great time but we drank too many cocktails and ate too much AMAZING food! I only managed to get to the gym once last week and I can feel the difference in my body already.

A few days ago I was browsing some tumblrs, hoping for some fitspiration, and I came across some ‘thinspiration’ sites.

I went for a run...
…it wasn’t fun. (Rhyme not intended).
It was SO cold and foggy and miserable. I keep getting blisters on my arches. But still, 2.97mi to go on the tally. Stretches and crunches as a post-run “treat”.
The real treat is going to be my coconut chicken curry for dinner. I am so excited for it! There will be pictures and maybe a recipe. HOT SHOWER TIME!!

Gym last night
Went to the gym last night, it was EMPTY. Not sure why I’m surprised, it was 7.30pm on a Friday night! Here’s a summary of my work-out:
Cardio
Week 6 run 1: 4.5km, 35:12. 5 min walk warm up, run 5 mins, walk 3 mins, run 8 mins, walk 3 mins, run 5 mins, walk to cool down.
Felt amazing - I’m definitely getting fitter and can really feel how much easier it’s getting to run...
