Run. Eat. Repeat.

I'm Sophie, a 22 year old Londoner currently studying in Manchester. I have just got back from a year living in France where my love for food has been joined by a new-found lust for running.

Tuesday recap

Yesterday was my first day of my healthy living and I kicked it off in pretty good (if you ignore my lunch) style.

I had porridge for breakfast, hummus and whole-wheat pitta as a mid-morning snack, McDonalds for lunch (my housemate was bugging me to go with her so I did… I could have not had a Big Mac meal though… at least I didn’t go large!) followed by a satsuma snack and a sausage casserole for dinner which had loads of chickpeas and veggies in.

In the evening I played a netball match (we lost 15-5, sadface) which got me nice and sweaty! I fell over twice, once onto my already sore wrist, hip and elbow (bruise pics to come) and the other time on to my slightly more padded bottom. Embarrassing!! Then Joe came round for a cuddle and we watched How I Met Your Mother.

I weighed myself this morning, I weighed exactly 10st 10lbs (150lbs). I’m fairly happy with that as a starting point. I have always said I don’t care how much I weigh as long as I feel good about myself and my clothes fit. My clothes currently don’t fit as well as they used to, so tomorrow I am off to the gym to start my weights programme. Slightly intimidated but really keen to get fit and strong. Strong is the new skinny, people!
